Exploring Research Series

The Exploring Research Series is a series of professor research talks hosted by HKN, or Eta Kappa Nu, the National Honor Society for Electrical and Computer Engineers. These research talks are geared toward an audience of freshmen and sophomore students to explain the professor’s field of research and possibly provide opportunities for undergraduate research. These are great opportunities for current students to get a glimpse at the many research areas being explored by our faculty!

These talks are given every other Wednesday starting September 7th at 5:30 pm in Thomas & Brown room 104 and the professor will be introduced by a member of HKN. This semester, the planned research talks are:

  • September 7- Dr. Boucheron – Why is an Electrical Engineer Working with Solar Physicists? A Brief Introduction to Image Analysis and Machine Learning (“Something Something DSP Stuff…”)
  • September 21- Dr. Furth
  • October 5- Dr. Dawood
  • October 19- Dr. Creusere
  • November 2- Dr. Ramirez-Angulo
  • November 16- Dr. Ranade

Come join us to learn a little bit about the research being done by our faculty, and possibly get the opportunity to do research in an area you love!
