The undergraduate program within the Klipsch School of Electrical and Computer Engineering has been continuously accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org/.
ABET is a non-profit, non-governmental organization which accredits engineering programs across the country and around the world.
Earning an engineering degree from an ABET accredited program is important: many employers will only hire from ABET accredited programs, financial aid eligibility may hinge on accreditation, and graduate schools may not recognize degrees from non-ABET accredited programs.
Among the requirements of ABET accreditation is periodic, on-site, peer-review of our program, faculty, and facilities. These visits usually occur every six years.
