Accreditation

The Electrical Engineering BS Program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the General Criteria and the Program Criteria for Electrical, Computer, Communications, Telecommunication(s) and Similarly Named Engineering Programs

ABET is a non-profit, non-governmental organization which accredits engineering programs across the country and around the world.

Earning an engineering degree from an ABET accredited program is important: many employers will only hire from ABET accredited programs, financial aid eligibility may hinge on accreditation, and graduate schools may not recognize degrees from non-ABET accredited programs.

Among the requirements of ABET accreditation is periodic, on-site, peer-review of our program, faculty, and facilities. These visits usually occur every six years.
